Copyright and restrictions on use
With the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the research project groups cooperating in the compilation of this
Thesaurus make available to the scholarly community a free new research tool. To use this tool, personal registration or registration as a guest is required. By logging in and using the Thesaurus
Linguae Aegyptiae, users explicitly acknowledge agreement with the following Terms of Use.
(1) All rights to the text material within the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae lie solely and undiminishedly with the projects and institutions that compiled and made
available this material. All users are free to consult the material for scholarly or private (non-commercial) purposes, to compile notes for their own use, and to make copies of the slips for
citation in scholarly publications.
(2) Commercial use of the material is not permitted. This prohibition on commercial use of data drawn from the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae includes, in particular,
editing and processing these data for subsequent own commercial use or for commercial use through third parties.
(3) Use of the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae is limited to search by using the options of material query made available on the Internet platform, and to consultation of
the results pages generated by this Internet platform. Users are not allowed to transfer the results material into other forms of representation. In particular, users are not allowed to derive an
electronic copy of the text corpus of the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae, or parts thereof. Neither are users allowed to archive the entire corpus or parts thereof, in any form other than the display of
results given by the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae, be it hard copy, computer file or in the form of other media.
(4) The material may not be circulated in an altered form or organized according to a different system.
(5) Concerning data of otherwise hitherto unpublished texts included in the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae, a permission is required to be obtained from the appropriate
holder of the publication rights prior to publication.
